This lynchpin in Jeffrey Chodorow’s restaurant empire may not be as hot as it was in its prime, but it still retains some of its original edge. Located in midtown’s CBS headquarters, this grandiose Asian fusion eatery still attracts expense-accounters and power players. Granite walls, a handsome backlit bar, and elaborate Japanese lantern-like light fixtures emanate an upscale vibe. The food, while a relic of the fusion-crazed nineties, has retained the ability to impress. Some age-old favorites are the Peking duck salad in tangerine orange dressing, and the inventive tempura sashimi. Don’t let the prices scare you too much—portions are meant to be shared. — Gabriella Gershenson

This is my second time at China Grill and I was just as pleased as the first time. The food is fantastic, great to go in large groups to take advantage of the family style servings.
Service was wonderful, the restaurant was a little loud, but not out of control for a Friday night.
I love that you can eat out on the patio in nice weather.
All in all, great time, great food, great service we will be back.
