City Crab & Seafood Company looks like a smart Manhattan restaurant, but in its heart it's really a Maryland crab shack with an expanded menu. Seafood as a commodity is expensive, so City Crab is by no means cheap, but the prices are as gentle as can be expected given the product. High volume and conscientious purchasing guarantee freshness, and the kitchen is competent. The bar scene is a phenomenon unto itself, rising to a fever pitch as the evening wears on.
