Sherry Delamarter opened an outpost of Cowgirl Hall of Fame in her home neighborhood, near the South Street Seaport. The menu is a mix of “Cowgirl’s greatest hits” (meaning southern and southwestern dishes prepared by her chef of twenty years, Ignacio Dimas) as well as seafood comfort dishes (think clam fritters in lieu of Cowboy’s corn fritters). Of course, there are also frozen margaritas as well as fresh-fruit drinks like the Ethyl Mermaid. In addition to lunch and dinner, breakfast features dishes such as biscuits, gravy, and eggs, as well as French toast rolled in Cap’n Crunch cereal and deep fried. The décor is likewise a mix of western and nautical, with Seahorse motorboat engines suspended from the ceiling, light fixtures made from wooden pulleys, acrylic seahorses, and antler chandeliers.
