This compact Greenwich Village crêperie takes a cinematic approach to its menu: Opening Credits are breakfast crêpes like The New Yorker (filled with apples, walnuts, and honey) and The Californian (starring non-fat yogurt, granola, and fresh strawberries); Featured Presentations extend the concept, with Thai-tinged The King & I (sautéed shrimp, baby greens, and fresh mint wasabi) and the vaguely French Amêlie (green apples, Brie, honey and chopped walnuts). Desserts like The Maltese Falcon, with fresh strawberries, bananas, and Nutella, are a welcome step above Twizzlers. Pastries, gourmet teas, and specialty lattes round out the offerings. The setting — a lone counter, four stools, and little else — is no American in Paris, but at least your order won't get Lost in Translation.
Recommended DishesThe King & I, $6.95; Amelie, $5.95
