With seating for five at this cozy crêperie, you’ll be lucky just to snag a seat at the chrome counter—never mind silverware or service. The delectable crêpes, you have to fetch for yourself. All your options are listed on a colorful chalkboard then assembled on one of two circular grills, which causes some bottlenecking during busier hours. Savory crêpes tend toward gourmet fillings like portobello mushrooms, goat cheese, and crabmeat; their sweet counterparts are stuffed with Nutella, whipped cream, or dark-chocolate chips. It’s not exclusively threatening to your waistline: In addition to fresh-fruit smoothies, the Nice and Slim crêpe is a healthy blend of fruit, granola, and nonfat frozen yogurt. But you’ll probably want to be a little more indulgent here even if your meal is served on a paper plate.
