Behind the loud soul music, coconut lampshades, and metallic paint lurks a surprisingly intimate dinner atmosphere. So initimate that you'll want to cozy up to all kinds of jerks—jerk chicken, that is, and pork, and even veggie. The jerks come perfectly seasoned, whether you request them mild, medium, or hot. But don't overlook the other zesty dishes on the menu, like stewed oxtail or, for a little bit of Southern comfort, the Carolina catfish. (For Southern Comfort with a capital C, visit the laid-back island-style bar.) There's usually only one dessert on offer. Skip it and order more of the other dishes. And if you really can't stand the idea of missing anything, come in on Sunday for the $14 all-you-can-eat Southern brunch buffet.
