Profile
Odds are you're going to walk out of Esperanto drunk and reeking of garlic, if you order right. A well-executed mojito or caipirinha from this reasonably priced Latin spot should do you nicely. The bread brought to the table is so-so, but only until you dip it in the salty, herb-dappled oil it comes with, at which point you won't be able to keep your hands out of the basket. As for the rest, it's hard to go wrong on the Brazilian-leaning menu: Everything is flavorful, fresh, and often not all that healthy. But that's okay: You've come all the way over to remote Avenue C, the teal-blue room is convivial but not too crowded, and you're not busting your budget. So live a little.
