A family restaurant thriving on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx one can understand. But in midtown? Yet the Scotto clan strolls around the dining room, cajoling, nudging, hugging, as if you’d shown up at their house for leftovers the day after Thanksgiving. For them, Fresco is one big welcome mat. enjoyed the food. enjoyed the atmosphere. very disappointed to be asked to leave because "the lobby was crowded and they needed the table". the four of us had not even finished our martinis. we were not there 2 hours. we ate apps thru to dessert--spent $400. we will not be going back....

This is a busy central Italian restaurant where you are treated with dignity and respect even if you wear jeans. Look around and you might catch a billionair or a celeb sitting near by. Food is fantastic with enought to fill you but not stuff you. Highly recommend.
