Profile

The exuberant mood and high decibel levels at this SoHo Italian reflect its high-spirited owner, New York foodie founding father Giorgio DeLuca, whose culinary savvy helped transform our idea of the grocery store. His chef  shares his reverence for the perfect ingredient, be it an heirloom tomato or the perfect roasted peach. With its raw bar, its pizza oven, and its traffic-stopping dessert cart, Giorgione hits all the right sensory buttons.

At the southest end of the West village, and above TriBeCA, this place is only for those who don't mind going out of their way for a delicious pizza and a lovely experience. This is quaint New York , nor too hip nor too trendy, and not seedy. Its just right. Aside from the amazingly thin, crusty and fragrant pizza, the menu is italian comfort food at its best. PS - Try the nutella crepe at brunch!
