With wooden tables, faded-red floor tiles, and a few solemn Buddhas scattered about the room, this no-frills, affordable vegetarian spot distinguishes itself with a homespun feel and something-for-everyone menu. You can eat here weekly without getting bored — and there are locals who do. A burger is reinvented as a hearty black-bean “bacon” patty with vegan mayo-barbecue sauce, and French toast translates to whole wheat slices drizzled with warm, syrupy blueberries. Dinner entrees swerve from tofu and soy-chicken Pad Thai to stuffed cabbage rolls. The open-face tuna sandwich also commands attention, with its crunchy, red-onion bits, a spread of guacamole, and muenster cheese. Come weekend brunch, Good Health’s signature dish is the Grand Canyon omelet, topped with robust portobello mushrooms, sautéed asparagus, and carrots, all coated in a savory soy sauce thickened by honey and a hint of garlic.
Recommended DishesOpen-face tuna sandwich, $8.50; Grand Canyon omelet, $12.50
