Profile

Dimly lit and adorned with red-velvet banquettes, wooden chairs, and chunky tables, Grape & Vine has a speakeasy vibe and enticing contemporary American menu. The dining room is both plush and rustic; tables are spread out, and a quiet fireplace makes the room feel cozy. The well-varied American nouveau dishes each have a slightly unique touch, and are pleasant in both taste and presentation. A New York state Burrata salad with ripe sherry tomatoes, basil, walnut vinaigrette, and crispy crostini is a great way to begin the meal, and chestnut fennel soup has balanced flavors and a decadent, creamy texture. The Mahogany Ale fish and chips has a light, airy fried crust and crunchy “chips” sure to please any potato lover. Less successful is the tuna crudo with fennel, orange, frisee, and anchovy vinaigrette—it lacks flavor. Cocktails are celebratory, like the Isaac Hendrick’s House with gin, St. Germain, cucumber, and mint.

Note

The bar is open until 2 a.m. daily.
