Profile

This intimate, inviting Prospect Heights wine bar was conceived, like the best neighborhood spots, as a place where its owners wanted to hang out. They're not the only ones: With its eclectic wine list, emphasis on half bottles, and light menu of cheese, charcuterie, and pressed sandwiches, Half is wholly enjoyable.

Cool idea, a wine list consisting of half and full bottles of wine, we'll serve good solid simple food (sandwiches, cheese plates, cured meats, olives...) Most important is your wine list, Half's is somewhat weak. Too many common wines on the list, needs more flair, though they did have a wine from South Asia. The waiters are super slow and need some wine training. The food is ok... stick to the pressed sandwiches. It's definetly perfect for a neighborhood outing and nothing more.
