Profile

From the preserved 1940s carriage doors to the thought-out children’s menu complete with chicken nuggets (organic, of course), the owners have made sure that every detail here is an homage to Park Slope. The menu is mostly Italian, with some French dishes sprinkled in. The tomato salad, a riff on the traditional Caprese, swaps out mozzarella for basil-flavored mascarpone, while the strozzapreti Genovese, topped with brisket sauce and ricotta, is a comforting favorite among the restaurant’s nice selection of home-style pastas. The affordably priced wine list consists mostly of Italian and French vintages with a few domestic producers from California for good measure. For an even more casual meal, there’s a cozy, casual pizzeria with entrée-sized pies and salads in a converted garage behind the restaurant.

Gluten-Free Options

All pastas and pizzas can be prepared gluten-free for an additional $3.

Recommended Dishes

Crispy artichokes, $13; strozzapreti genovese, $16; tomato salad, $10
