Alberto Tartari used to run a restaurant near Lake Iseo in Italy’s Lombardy region, an area known for its clean air and stunning natural beauty. So who knows why he packed it all in for a corner spot in Hell's Kitchen called Il Melograno. His menu covers the basics—salads, pasta, and panini—and offers a daily lunch special.

I don't know who write the previous reviews, probably someone from his family or personal friends, because since was opened, this restaurant have had change waitresses almost every 3 months.
The gays in the picture were fired, 6 months ago because they were catch taking money from the register!
About Alberto, the owner he was never a restaurant owner, as it says in the brochure!
He was the manager for 5 year in an American restaurant!
This is my new favorite restaurant!!! Il Melograno is a true hidden gem in the city. They serve the best Italian food in town - without a doubt. I've been to fancy upscale Italian restaurants and nothing compares to their fresh pastas. Since I discovered this place a few weeks ago I've dined there about 7 times. I highly suggested their specials. They often have a pasta with seafood on their specials menu. I recently had lobster with linguini in a light delicate tomato sauce....it was amazing! They serve a high-end meal at a great price. I'm working my way down their menu.....looking forward to trying everything.
