The Cajun-Creole comeback gathers steam as the Big Easy hot spot tries to replicate its funky Nawlins self on the considerably less funky Upper West Side—proprietary fried chicken, alligator-sausage cheesecake, and all. Founding chef Jacques Leonardi has been logging serious frequent-flier miles between his two joints, and owner Jim (Brother Jimmy’s BBQ) Goldman sets the proper juke-joint, bon temps tone.
