Profile

What's better than sitting down with your friends for cheap red chianti, pizza, and salad? Spending less than $30, perhaps? The brick oven thin-crust pizza is legendary; the basic Margherita should be the standard on which all other pizzas are judged.

We went here after hearing from several people that this was the best pizza in NYC. I'm not sure that it's the best pizza I've ever had, but it was pretty delicious! We went for lunch on a Monday when it first opened - but I must mention that we had tried to go the evening prior and the line was practically out the door. (Go early or be prepared to wait!) The Margherita pizza was very flavorful and was perfect for sharing between 3 people. We also ordered the calamari as an appetizer, which was very good too (mostly "rings" and no "tenticles"). The service was good - the wait staff was polite and came by to check on us. Overall, it was great pizza with very reasonable prices (less than $40 for sodas, a large pizza, and appetizer for 3 people). I highly recommend this place.
