This three-tiered space is the Upper East Side's answer to a proper countryside pub, housing a spacious wine-and-beer bar, a sky-lit exposed-brick communal hall (overlooking a garden), and a full wood-paneled dining room. It's rustic with a touch of rock and roll, antler-adorned mirrors hanging alongside a Sex Pistols poster. Food-wise, Anglophiles can get their fix with marmite, scotch eggs, fish and chips and bangers and mash, rounding out a more traditional menu of tuna tartar, striped bass, and steak. The bar boasts an UK/European beer list with Fuller's London Pride and Boddington's on tap, and compensates for its limited selection with wine cocktails and cute Australian bartenders. In case you want to try your hand at some British treats, chalkboard recipes for the likes of Spotted Dick, Cat's Tongues, and A Lady's Tart are scribbled on the bathroom wall. — Samantha Zalaznick
