King of Tandoor may look like all the rest—white tablecloths, Bollywood movies on a flatscreen—but the food here sets it apart from other reasonably priced Indian spots. A platter of hot appetizers sees some standouts in the crisp bhujia onion fritters and tasty fried cauliflower, though chicken pakoras are bland. Mulligatawny soup has strong flavor with no rice filler, while entrées are well executed though not overly spicy. All-white-meat chicken tikka masala and tender lamb saag are both above par, and the mixed thali plate is the best way to sample a lot at once: Try it with aloo motor gobi (potatoes, peas, cauliflower), shrimp saag, and a toothsome tandoori chicken.
