Profile

This venue is closed.

Just a block from the Bedford L, this monument to unhealthy eating is that last stop after a night out or that first call the next morning. The cramped, but clean restaurant has six tiny tables, a few counter seats, and a brushed steel kitchen façade reiterating the menu options: burgers, shakes, hotdogs, fries. Grilled Sabbretts have a satisfying snap and cheese steaks on soft heros, which soak up the marinated beef and onion oils, can be transcendent; pastrami poppers—two mini sandwiches made with spicy mustard and toasted potato buns—are a welcome addition to the world of standard burger sliders (also offered here smothered with horseradish mayo); Disappointingly it’s the Super Delight burger consisting of a limp, grey-beige patty piled with lettuce, pickles and 1,000 Island dressing that is merely serviceable. Late nights the small space fills up with hipster gals and bearded Williamsburg dudes, and you have to wonder, if they keep filling up on this food, will their skinny jeans still fit?
