Profile

Beebe Okoye left her architecture job to open this bright, cozy café. She designed both the space, with its wall niches filled with ceramics for sale, and the menu, a small but selective assortment of breakfast pastries and granola, soups, and salads.

Okoye offers corporate catering too.

Delightful service, excellent food, and pleasant atmosphere combine to make this small, secluded cafe a true gem in the heart of Tribeca. The friendly staff have become community fixtures and make it a point to welcome new faces. Coffee is smooth and delicate, beautifully served in handmade pottery (by Beebe, if I remember correctly). Cultural events abound, with poetry readings and local artwork on display. Will make you forget about the starbucks around the corner!

Visiting NY from Ohio. Stumbled upon Kiva and fell in love with the place! I cant stop telling my friends about it! The food was so fresh and wonderful! The service was friendly and awesome. The decor was gorgeous. I had to take pictures! The music..the feel of the entire place was PERFECT! Of all the places I went while in NY, Kiva was the best!!!
