With Orso perpetually overbooked, the theater district can always use another pre-curtain place, and this Aegean addition to Restaurant Row fits the bill, with its high ceilings, sandblasted windows, and the same executive chef as Ithaka, its West Village sibling. The menu covers all the Peloponnesian bases, from stuffed grape leaves and assorted spreads to clay-pot casseroles, charcoal-broiled fish, and rack of lamb.
Recommended DishesAssorted spreads, $12.95; stuffed grape leaves, $7.50; moussaka, $18.95; pastichio, $16.95; shrimp and scallops in clay pot, $22.95; whole broiled porgy, $25.95; rack of lamb for two, $49.95
