From a fleet of ovens comes a dizzying array of golden-crusted pizzas and focaccia at this friendly family restaurant. "Grandma's," "upside-down," deep-dish, thin-crust, and stuffed are a few of the styles on offer, topped or filled with everything from pepperoni to oven-roasted potatoes. Choose imported bufala or the housemade mozzarella on your margherita pie, and try to make room for the wealth of Italian-American antipasti, pastas, salads, and main courses. — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld

gourmet italian food, and prepared so many ways...
I have been there numerous times, and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal, from salad, to pasta to meat, and the pizza is to die for, it's all good. I have moved to New Hampshire 15 years ago, and when I come back to new york to visit, La Villa is our first stop, it's clean and fast, you won't be sorry, for whatever you order.
I read the last review about La Villa, and I disagree with this person totally100%, La Villa has a professional and friendly staff or they would not be there, maybe that person went into the fine establishment with an attitude. Go and have a wonderful dining experience, go to La Villa!!!
I've been to this establishment on several occasions. My initial two visits were with out incident. Good with lots of variety. My most recent visit was shocking. They refused to seat myself and assistant (an African American woman). The place was not crowded but dinner time they said we can take-out a full pizza but they were unavailable for dinner seating. Meanwhile they sat other customers who didn't have reservations. Although this is Howard Beach I was shocked to see this behavior. I WILL NOT GO BACK!!!
