Profile

This bizarre little Thai joint is an excellent place to pop in for a quick bite that won’t break the bank or leave you feeling sick. The plaid seat covers and Thai pop music give the place a quirky feel, but the service is excellent and the food comes out quickly. The classic Pad Thai dishes go best with chicken, but it’s the crispy pork that’s supreme—tender inside with a juicy crispiness. It can get a little mushy with eggplant, but the pork on its own (the Kra Prao Moo Krob) is just right. The beef dishes tend to be a little dry, but the sautéed morning glory is deliciously salty. The soups are more substantive than the salads or grilled dishes, and generally more interesting, with a variety of noodles and broths that aren’t too oily. There are no dessert options, but it’s BYOB. Since most of the food is salty, you should grab some beers from the deli next door.
