Profile

This venue is closed.

Though it’s no destination spot, Le Petit Marché is everything a neighborhood restaurant should be. The menu sticks to French crowd-pleasers, but the kitchen prepares them well and serves them in a mellow yet charming bistro environment. Offerings change seasonally, but never go without standards like steak frites, mussels Provençal, and grilled lamb, and a few exotic dishes (scallops with chorizo, sweet-and-savory goat cheese brulée). Befitting a French spot, there’s a thorough wine list, with nearly 75 available by the bottle and another eight by the glass. There’s no spirit license, so cocktails are limited to a handful of champagne and wine-based concoctions. With soft lighting, red and exposed brick walls, and pressed-tin ceilings, the relatively small room feels cozy rather than cramped.
