Profile

This venue is closed.

At the end of SoHo’s restaurant row, this Italian spot caters to all: old, young, hip, not. Those with appetites should sample the spaghetti alla chitarra or the thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly great considering they're made on a pizza stone in a regular oven.

Recommended Dishes

Spaghetti alla chitarra, $18; pizza quattro stagioni, $18; pizza margherita, $14

Le Streghe is almost a second home to me. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, this place is open til daybreak, and sometimes later, with a bouncer at the door from 3am onwards. Oh, they serve til 6am with a full kitchen might I add. Their dinner menu serves up a wonderful selection of dishes, appealing to tastes all across the board. My personal favorite is the gnocchi, although the spicy penne is a close second. After midnight, you never go wrong with the pizza Margherita. The desserts are divine, I never leave without either a tiramisu or a chocolate mousse. The waitstaff is always alert and friendly. You just can't have a bad experience!
