Picture windows, oak wine barrels, and a wall lined with wine corks create an intimate atmosphere at Malbec, an Argentine restaurant, bar, and tango club. The cavernous basement's open layout is well suited for events and tango shows, which run Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m. There’s a hearty selection of Argentine wines by the glass that are poured from high-tech wine dispensers behind the bar. The food menu is upscale Argentine with a strong focus on seafood. While the prices are steep, there is a reasonable pre-theater three-course prix fixe. For the main, the lamb bolognese is large enough to feed a family of four.
