At Mango Thai, as much attention has been paid to the look as to the menu. The flatteringly low-lit space—flanked by a brick wall on one side and a low, white banquet on the other—makes for a great weeknight date. Afterwards, move on to the namesake salad—a blast of summer with its mound of mango matchsticks, creamy avocado chunks and crunchy, toasted cashews. Among the entrees, seafood dishes fare best with the hot sweet basil squid topping the list. That lively touch stays consistent through dessert: The lime ice cream pie is a cool reinvention of Key lime.
Cashew chicken delight, $9; shrimp or squid hot sweet basil, $12
