Ooooh, baby! Do they got attitude. But ooooh, baby! Do they got fried chicken and ribs to die for, pepper-pot soup worth slurping all over your tie, the only fried green tomatoes to ever convince a Yankee why they’re worth craving, the most potent, puckering margarita in town, and a red-velvet cake that provides a sugar rush so intense you shouldn’t leave the place unescorted. — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld

I have been to Maroon's 4 times over the past year and NEVER been dissapointed! Only once did I go during their busy time (on a date) it was a Sat at 8:30pm. I go during the week between 6 and 8pm. That is when the place isn't packed and service is at it's best! I got no attitude, perhaps they dumped those servers, and the food was EXCELLENT! I took my boss there as well and she has a seriously refined palate! I had the salmon she had the jerk chicken and was very happy! I've referred them often! Go!
After researching restaurants on the Internet, my friends and I found this place. Food sounded good and we love Village restaurants. Boy were we disappointed. We arrived at 7:30 and they had an empty room of tables, but they made us wait until 8 to be seated. Service was extremely slow. We didn't get our food until 9:15, after all of the other tables were served their appetizers and food and these were 3 large parties. One table , the table next to us which was a birthday party, was also finished with their dinner before we received our food. Their cake even arrived before our food and they were seated at the same time as we were. We just ordered food. We had to rush as we had a 10:00 train and had to get to midtown by then. When we complained, we were treated rudely and told that we had to wait. They only reason we stayed is because we had no choice if we wished to eat before we went home. The food was average and the service was horrible. We will never go to this restaurant ever again.
