Hearty rigatoni with meatballs and Italian sausage—both as good (and as cheap) as they are downtown at perennially cramped sister restaurant Max. — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld

Was not impressed. Food was not properly cooked and their was not enough flavor. Had to fix the Asparagus soup by adding cheese, salt, pepper and it was still awful! Pasta was dry and had no seasoning. It was a total waste of money and I went away very hungry.
Until very recently, I loved this place. The food and wine were wonderful and the service was friendly. However, since the start of new ownership in March, Max Soha has quickly gone downhill.
The service is UTTERLY incompetent. It took the hostess an hour to figure out how to seat our party, when it should have taken 15 minutes. Our entrees were all brought out randomly and at different times. And most importantly, the food is nothing like it used to be. I'd always loved their lasagna, but it's turned into something that tasted like hamburger helper.
It's sad that something that was so good has lost all of its appeal.
