The newest addition to Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow’s fuss-free, build-your-own-meal meatball joints, the West Village location is equally as retro as its sister locations, with Edison light bulbs, exposed brick, and wooden tables. Offering a selection of five kinds of house-ground meatballs, five sauces, and a variety of presentations (sliders, heroes, and an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink salad), the menu also includes daily specials, including a daily ball, risotto, a market salad, greens, and a roasted veggie. If the juicy spicy pork ball does not appeal, the vegetable ball, made with mushrooms and green lentils, is a hearty veggie alternative. And, for parents looking to feed their hungry little ballers, the Greenwich Avenue location offers an after-school menu, dubbed the "half-pint happy hour." For dessert, choose from a selection of homemade ice cream sandwiches and floats, the perfect ending for big ballers and little ballers alike.
