Great style and sexy surroundings usually come at a premium, which is what makes this inviting Moroccan restaurant in the upper reaches of Chelsea's galleryville feel like such a bargain. Low tables and circular banquettes enhance the ambience but require an advance degree in Pilates—especially when you're repeatedly leaning over to dip pita wedges into the multitude of small bowls that comprise the meze platter, a taster's paradise of every meze on the menu. Mildly smoky baba ghannouj, heavy-on-the-tahini hummus, and subtly spiced carrots are standouts. Traditional chicken tajine makes a tasty, fork-tender entree—post-meze appetite permitting.
