It’s worth hanging in and waiting for Mediterraneo’s simple, well-executed Italian fare. A wood-burning oven turns out crackly, tangy pizzas that make a great appetizer for a group. Salads too can be shared or ordered as a main dish; try the popular insalata Mediterraneo, which has shrimp, capers, and plum tomatoes over arugula served with a light lemon dressing. On a long list of delicious pastas, the linguine nere all’Arrabiata (black linguine with shrimp in a spicy red sauce) is a standout. For heartier fare, try the grilled Australian lamb chops or the sirloin steak with arugula and potatoes. — Laura Brounstein

It was one year that I did not go and after having read the latest review, I did not want to go but I have to thanks a friend that has insisted...
Food is outstanding, fast service, good recommendations made by the waiter and... now I understand why are more than years that this restaurant is crowded.
by the way the waiters have changed and are more nice.
Everything was delicious from the focaccia to the "milanese's" lamb ribs....
I was not disappointed with anything and now I'm thinking who wrotes the reviews... old waiters fired & competitors or real customers?
Thoroughly disappointed. First, the service was just awful. The waiter brought us the menu and within the first 5 minutes asked us 3 times if we were ready to order. What was the rush...the place was only 2/3 full on a Saturday night. We placed our order (pasta and fish) and within 5 minutes a busboy brings out our meal. Was this McDonalds....is the food preheated? I would swear they pulled it off a buffet! Wasn't even hot and to top it off, it was mediocre at best. So we're talking and still nibbling on our dinner and 3 times the waiter and busboy come by to ask if they can clear the table. I finally lost my patience and kindly asked that they not return to the table until I ask for the check. Last visit!
