This corner pizzeria near busy Flatbush Avenue may lack that homespun, crunchy Park Slope milieu, but it gets a steady stream of customers just the same. Locals chow down on crispy slices and sodas at six faux-black marble tables or choose something from the takeout menu, which has the requisite heroes, baked zitis, and parmigianas. Square slices of “Grandma’s pie” stand out for their fresh garlic, mozzarella, basil, and plum tomatoes atop a crispy thin crust. A few Greek specialties remain from the previous owner, as does a huge fishing boat scene hanging on the painted-like-stucco wall. But the mural blends in just fine since, as owner Michael Pizzirusso explains, “everyone thinks it’s Italy.”Recommended Dishes
