This spacious Williamsburg restaurant is more notable for its unique décor than for its food. Located in an abandoned factory space, the design mixes industrial elements with reclaimed furniture to create a look that might fit in better in, say, Hell’s Kitchen. The multi-level outdoor patio is swank, with large tables complete with flowing orange curtains and seat pillows that evoke an exotic vibe. In April 2012, the formerly Turkish restaurant brought in elBulli protégé Ivan Vilches to create a new menu with more high-end Spanish fare. The result is a mix of tapas, traditional appetizers, and entrées that all come in disappointingly small portions. Fortunately, the cocktail menu is much more consistent in terms of quality, and the outside patio is perfect for a warm summer night.
Weddings and Special EventsThe restaurant is a very popular spot to host weddings and special events. Because of that, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure the restaurant isn’t closed for a private party during the spring and summer months (especially on the weekends).
Recommended DishesHouse-made flat bread, $12; marinated salmon, $8; red snapper, $21
