Profile

This is the kind of family-style restaurant you’d expect to find in Maine or Montauk, not downstream from the Kings Plaza shopping center in southeastern Brooklyn. In good weather, dine on the canopied deck, which overlooks Mill Basin, and order lobster with corn and steak fries off the no-frills seafood menu, and a pitcher of Miller. Sit as close to the railing (and as far from Flatbush Avenue) as possible, and contemplate the coastal quiet—at least until the next Jet Skier comes blasting by.

Surprisingly, this seafood restaurant uses imitation crabmeat in its stuffed flounder. How weak is that?

Go to Red Lobster Instead

I love seafood and tried this place several times. My friend order grilled flounder and literally, hallf of it was baked onto the plate (can we say microwave?). Sure they cater to large groups or families...they have the room and ample parking and you can eat cheaply here...hence the baked on the plate flounder. For seafood in this area, I drive along the Belt Parkway east to Gateway Plaza and ALWAYS enjoy the food at Red Lobster (although their service is a crap-shoot).
