San Francisco transplants Christophe Hille (A16) and Nathan Foot (Myth) opened this low-key American spot and food shop in the former home of Old Devil Moon. Their seasonal menu champions locally sourced ingredients and sustainable meats, and eggs, poultry, and fish overshadow limited beef and pork options. To drink: draft and bottled beers like Captain Lawrence, Sixpoint, and Blue Point, domestic and imported wines from small producers, housemade sodas, and Northern Spy Cider to fit the theme. The West Coast imports must have done their homework at Brooklyn Flea on the retail side. Expect McClure's Pickles, Liddabit Sweets, and Early Bird Granola, but also cheeses and grains from upstate. With limited seating and all dishes under $20, they're aiming for a strong takeout and delivery business, and will also stock prepared foods to go.
