This tiny, jarringly lit storefront serves up copious helpings of Chinese fare slightly heavy on the MSG. Variations on the noodle theme, from lo mein to chow fun, are a decent bet, as are the tried-and-true combos of General Tso’s or sesame chicken served with a hefty egg roll and pork-fried rice. Cantonese dumplings, Szechuan beef, and Hunan–style shrimp span the map of China; more surprising are the Indian curries, fried bananas, and French fries that make appearances on the menu, too. The focus here is clearly on delivery, even more than takeout, as the seating/waiting area is little more than three Formica tables and a backlit picture of a Beijing temple.
Recommended DishesPupu platter, $9.75; shredded pork-bean curd with Szechuan vegetables, $4; chicken velvet corn soup, $1.95
