This place is always buzzing, partly because of its excellent bloodlines (Sirio Maccioni's brood of charming sons runs the place) and partly because of a menu of faithfully reproduced classics such as fritto misto di mare interspersed with neo-Italian dishes like roasted scallops wrapped in pancetta, and everything vetted for Italian-ness by the doyenne of the family, Egidiana Maccioni.
