It might not have a seat on the exchange, but the husband-and-wife catering company that runs this rustic Mediterranean restaurant has gone public. After years of catering fashion-industry shindigs, they've opened their salvaged barn doors to the rest of us. The rustic 35-seat dining room is furnished with a chestnut-beamed ceiling and Jerusalem-limestone bar, and a Roman chef who serves up a seafood-heavy Italian-Provençal menu. — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld

great atmosphere, annoying staff

Just don't order the gnochi, it was horribly bland!!! Great date spot, but just ignore the moron waitress that acts as if she has taken sillly drugs!

What a shame.....

After what was a reasonably cozy meal in the beautiful garden, the evening was ruined for us by the incredibly rude manager / maitre d' -- he had already been snooty on the way in, but nice cocktails, a pleasant moroccan waiter, and reasonably good food made us forget. But towards the end of our meal the manager became aggressive, making us feel unwelcome, and when we questioned his behavior, we were floored to be told "i don't care what you think, this is my restaurant, so go home!" We were stunned, not least because we had rented the private room for a lot of money no more than 3 weeks earlier.... The owners would do well to relieve this man of his role. Until then, we will be happy to find another garden.
