The menu has unexpected highlights (wood-oven pizza, warm lentil salad, banana wontons), but this place is happy to be a surround-sound-and-light show, a Boscobel for downtown. Hint: If the word Area, with a capital A, sparks fond nocturnal memories, hail a cab down here now.

Weddings

This 10,000-square-foot former taxi garage in Chelsea has three Asian-accented areas for wedding parties, including part of the outdoor garden oasis. Most couples opt for the third-floor penthouse with glass ceilings and an enclosed deck. Prices upon request.

WARNING: OVERCHARGES ON CREDIT CARD BILLS!!!

Didn't have a problem with the restaurant until I received my credit card statement. Basically, the statement showed an overcharge tip of $25 for a $40 brunch meal. Called the credit card company immediately & they informed me that it's the restaurant that actually inputs this info. Left a message with the restaurant & still waiting for a return call...very disappointing. I wanted to go back to try their dinner but since they couldn't even bother to call to apologize, it only proves to me they could care less and at this point, I won't be returning. It's a shame that they practice such unethical behavior and don't even take the initiative to quickly remedy the problem. *** Just found other customer reviews on Citysearch who have had similar experiences of being cheated on their bills!!! Clearly this is common unethical practice at this establishment!!!

ordered some catfish and it was not like a meal and not cooked well.
