Profile
Credited with being the restaurant that blew open Smith Street's potential as a fine dining destination (eateries to have followed the trend include the now famous The Grocery), Patois still holds the title of best bistro on the block. The rustic French country interior has aged well, and the prix-fixe menu, three thoughtfully prepared courses for $20, is a great value. This place may not lure Manhattanites into Carroll Gardens just for dinner, but it's worth checking out if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
Pre-Fixe DinnerThree-course dinner served Tue.Thu., from 5:30 p.m.10:30 p.m.; $20
