Delacorte Theater
|
Daily, 8am-8pm
B, C at 81st St.-Museum of Natural History
Danny Meyer invited us up to Central Park to check out Public Fare, his takeout window in the Delacorte Theater. It's officially open from 8 a.m. (serving Murray’s bagels and yogurt in the morning) through 8 p.m., with hours extended through intermission (till about 9:30 p.m.) during Shakespeare in the Park performances. Coming soon: a grill and waiter service for those standing in line to get into the Delacorte (if only the Shake Shack would get that!). For snacks, we tried a rich brownie studded with chocolate chunks and a plump, moist whoopie pie, a dessert Meyer believes will be the “next big thing since red-velvet cake.”
