With its sleek design inside and out, it’s hard to imagine this modern Thai restaurant and bar used to house the stuffy Cono & Son’s O’pescatore. Steely blue booths and trimmed birch trees add character to the well-lighted corner spot. A long appetizer list mixes soups, salads, and classic starters, like summer rolls and dumplings, with selections maybe more appealing to the attached (but separate) bar room, like the spice-sauced crispy wings and delicious, flaky chicken curry puffs. The stir-fry and noodle dishes are overshadowed by the bursting flavor of the curries, like the sweet coconut panang and the coconut-less jungle curry. A popular full plate entrée is the Bangkok skirt steak with baby bok choy and house BBQ sauce. Weekends bring Thai brunch, with a complimentary beverage option.

Bar closes at 2 a.m.
