There’s a reason Santa Fe Grill remains a Park Slope mainstay after more than twenty years. Every table comes with a bottomless basket of chips and salsa, and the margaritas are strong. The large bar stocked with middle-of-the-road tequilas fills a third of the room, which has earth-tone walls decorated with cow skulls. As to the food, it’s memorable mainly for its size—predictable Tex-Mex chow such as inoffensive quesadillas, standard-issue tacos, and by-the-book burritos. While the flavors don’t wow, at least you’ll leave here full. The flan, a fist-sized gobbet of custard, is commendable if you’ve still got room before the check.
