Santa Fe’s beloved margaritas briefly stopped flowing when this post-Lincoln Center favorite was evicted from its original digs in 2004. But it quickly found a new home just a few blocks north. This equally large location keeps with the restaurant’s cheery Southwestern motif as regulars continue to cozy up for well-shaken Sauza Blanco margaritas or run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex. (The menu also features a few sophisticated regional plates such as Yucatan chicken and the spicy-sweet New Mexico Pepper Steak—a regional take on steak au poivre.) The small dessert selection includes a Key-lime mousse pie that tastes like tart, week-old cheesecake. Skip it for another Sauza or a gelato from nearby Grom.
