The team behind Williamsburg cocktails-and-oysters den Maison Premiere is behind this handsome restaurant adjacent to McCarren Park. Drinks are, no surprise, a focus, with plenty of natural wines, dozens of spirits, and a handful of cocktails like a Pastis Cobbler to sip at the French walnut bar. Unlike its sister-bar, food is more the focus here: While the menu was initially French-y New American and received a fair amount of praise, especially for its pig-head confit, it’s moved in a more straightforward American direction. Think smoked corn tagliatelle with bacalao, foie gras terrine with quince, and a Cheddar cheeseburger.

The restaurant’s takeout window is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
