Profile
Sleek and modern, with a distinct Sicilian accent, this ristorante is a welcome answer to a perennial outer-borough question: Where to eat near BAM? Comfortable banquettes, a spacious bar, and uncommon offerings are already pleasing the neighbors.

Worst Restaurant Experience In New York in 5 Years
The four of us arrived at 7:30pm last Friday night for dinner before a movie at BAM Rose. There were about five other tables full at the time. We ordered our dinner and twenty minutes later, our waiter told me they were out of the short ribs I ordered. No appetizer either. I changed my order and another twenty minutes passed. People who arrived after us we're getting their main courses. It was getting closer and closer to our movie time. After 50 minutes from when we arrived, they brought the appetizers out. We complained and the waiter seemed annoyed. 9pm came and no dinner. We all became irritated and hungry. I got up to speak the the owner and told him that this was unacceptable, he was annoyed also, telling us that it was a busy time of day. I told him it was more than half empty when we arrived and he shrugged and walked away. So, we put our jackets on, put $40 down for the wine and left. Neither the waiter or the owner appeared to care at all about us. Do not go here unless you like being mistreated and forgotten about.
I am quickly becoming addicted to this place. I don't eat Italian often but I make an exception for scopello - the tagliatelle is great, the bread is home-made, and the salads are fresh and delicious.
