Diners flock to this restaurant for its fine traditional Peruvian dishes and its pleasant atmosphere. Ceviche appetizers—the Peruvian version of sushi—are a prime attraction. Other favorites include Mariscos del Pescador, a dish of seafood in a creamy sauce, and shredded chicken in a pecan-cumin mojo. And while a vegetarian dish doesn't seem traditionally Peruvian, the Amazonas succesfully balances the strong flavors of portobello mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, and sweet potato fries with a cool white cheese.
