When the craving for cheap Chinese takeout strikes, those in the Slope head to Sun Luck, a convenient if unremarkable storefront serving standard, diet-be-damned fare at bargain-rate prices. The expansive menu presents locals on the go with a wide range of pan-Chinese fast-food options sure to hit the spot, like the moderately spicy kung pao beef and the tangy sweet and sour pork, as well as a variety of Cantonese style noodle soups. Like so many similar establishments, Sun Luck lacks any discernable décor and offers little by way of seating—there are just two faux-wood-topped tables available for sit-down dining—which ensures that eating at home is a far more enjoyable option.
Recommended DishesKung pao beef, $5.50; vegetable lo mein, $4
