Profile

Grandparents, babysitters, and breast-feeding mothers are all comfortable at this Park Slope hangout, where kids are treated like high royalty with an extensive menu of juices, cookies, and toastie sandwiches. Drinks include homemade granitas and hot chocolates, as well as the alcoholic variety. There’s also a very popular children’s singalong at all three spots.

Worst place in Park Slope. They should be out of business!

Recently moved to Brooklyn, and heard about the tea lounge and their reputation as 'kid friendly'. NOT TRUE AT ALL. The couches are dirty and sticky, there is garbage on the tables and floor, and to top it off, the staff has an attitude if they see you with a kid. I never taste their food, because the whole experience just made me sick. I will never go back, or let my friends go in there. There are alot more choices to have a cup of coffee with or without your kid, like the Red Horse Cafe.

yep.

have to agree with the other guy. baristas confuse attitude/smugness with being cool--grow up! not only did my iced coffee taste like an ash tray and plastic, but it took about 5 minutes to make and was handed to me as if i had severely inconvenienced the staff. couches are perenially littered with people checking facebook and gawker on their laptops--this saturates the place with an atmosphere of silence and a general ennui which could only appeal to a 7th grader who listens to whiny pop-punk songs about breakups.
